I was killing some time last week, pinning away on Pinterest when I came across this recipe from Beth over at The First Year Blog. "Starbucks Pumpkin Pound Cake"
I have never had Starbucks pound cake, but having tried their cake balls and other baked goods I figured this had to be good. Plus I just happened to have a can of pumpkin and a hankerin' for something sweet.
Now you need to go get some pumpkin and get to baking, because this is delicious!!!
Here's what you'll need
1 1/2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
2/3 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Milk
3 Egg whites
1 Cup canned Pumpkin
Don't be alarmed that this has no oil or butter in it, I was worried, but don't be it all turns out beautifully in the end.
Get your oven preheating to 350, and grease a loaf pan.
In a bowl combine your flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
In a mixer combine your sugars, and egg whites until well mixed, then add in the pumpkin. Pour in your dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
Pour into your pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
Let cool (mostly at least, I couldn't wait! Just don't burn yourself) and Enjoy!!
