I think I'd call it, "No My Children really don't need professional help...really."
If you haven't had the pleasure of reading the first one, check it out here it's a bit of a warm up for what you are about to read.
The assignment this time was to pick a picture, and write a personal narrative about it.
I'm pretty sure she thought most kids would pick a picture that had some personal significance and write a little story about their lives. Maybe a birthday party, or family vacation, something normal. But then she said they could pick any picture, as long as they wrote the narrative in first person.
So Anthony went online. He found a picture. He wrote a story.
Here it is...
My name is Abraham Lincoln. I was president during the Civil War in the
United States and led the
Revolution 2.0. This picture was taken December 20th 2043, the last day of America’s 2nd
revolution, the day the “Declaration of Independence” and “The Constitution”
were established for a second time. I, Abraham Lincoln was resurrected to fight
for freedom again.
It all started when Congress began unarming U.S citizens and striping them of their rights. People were being forced into free labor and spied on by their own government they trusted. These evil politicians did not serve in the interest of the people what so ever. They tore down
Washington’s monuments including my memorial.
U.N soldiers began patrolling the streets in armored cars, enforcing rules, and
pushing their agendas vigorously. This was where the line was drawn.
Ever since 2010 cloning humans had become successful in underground bunkers of Area 51. I was cloned along with Albert Einstein, John Lennon and Gandhi. John Lennon and I were unfortunately the only successful clones. A group of U.S generals correctly predicted the unrest in the
United States by 2043. I began
immense training to prepare. Due to injecting me with alien technology I became
a black belt in 12 different martial arts, and extremely well rounded with
modern weapons. I had the stamina of a triathlon winner, and the strength of an
Olympic weightlifter. I was ready.
The generals raised me to be as powerful as an army, an army they needed to fight this oppression of man. I single handedly wiped out a base of 700 U.N soldiers in two hours. The spirits of our citizens rose out of the ashes and rebellion began. Once word got out that reincarnated Abe had been fighting in the name of freedom nothing could stop us. Wielding the constitution in a bulletproof case, an automatic machine gun, and riding my beloved war bear I led an army of 200,000 across the nation destroying camps and killing anyone who stood in the way of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
This picture was taken at the final battle at
We had burned the city to the ground in flames of freedom and a new era arose from the brutal destruction. I let down “The
Constitution,” recited the “New Gettysburg Address,” and fired my rifle along
with 200,000 others. I put my hand on a Bible and swore to protect and serve
the American people for a second time. My bear roared and I smiled a grin… a
grin of freedom.
I can only hope he grows up to use his slightly warped creative genius for good...
