Good Morning my dears!
Oh my it's been awhile since I've been here posting and how I've missed it!! But I haven't quit on you! I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth, or been eaten by my crazy chickens!
I just haven't been feeling very good...
As I mentioned back in May, I was a little under the weather, and waiting for some tests. They resulted in no answers. Which resulted in more Dr.'s visits, quite a bit of frustration, and more tests....
and still no answers.
I know I am not seriously ill. That is fantastic.
I know as my Dr. said that, "You don't have anything glamorous or exotic." (which begs the question what is the list of glamorous illness?? Maybe I should Google that.)
Here's what I do know. I've been in pretty much constant pain since early April, I've had pretty much every major body part poked and scoped, and no one can tell me what the trouble is.
I 'm not going into my lovely list of symptoms, but suffice it to say, I'm not sleeping well, and running an almost constant low grade fever. It's made for a most energetic and exciting summer let me tell you. Some days I feel okay, bordering on fine. Others I'm pretty much useless.
The few hours I usually steal for blogging, between when super Hubby leaves for work and the kids get up, have been stolen for extra sleep. My garden is a bit over run with weeds, and I've been totally slacking in meal planning and preparation, generally I've been taking it easy (and trying not to feel like a lazy ass)
Thank God for the Superman I'm married to.
I've been missing my little corner of the web here though, and all of you who leave me sweet comments, and who I've been getting to know. So I'm letting the teenager get his brothers some cereal for breakfast, and while they do that, and play legos on the living room floor (which is more legos than floor at this point) I am checking in, writing some posts, and rejoining this fun community I've come to love!!
This week I managed to plan my meals, and get my grocery shopping done. I even did some couponing (resulting in the cereal the kiddos are having for breakfast) so I'm feeling pretty accomplished.
So here's what we'll be eating --
Today- Muffuletta Sandwiches- I have never had these, but my BFF who lives in Georgia told me about them, and I decided they need to be eaten at my house.
Sunday- Sweet Corn Chipotle Fettuccine - a new recipe that I am way too excited to try.
Monday- Grilled Chicken and couscous
Tuesday- Quinoa Tex Mex Casserole- another new one, that I will share if it turns out!
Wednesday- Big Mac Salad
Thursday- Pollo con Queso
Friday- It's Pizza night!!
Here's hoping for a great week for all of you!! I promise not to fall off the face of the Earth again!!
