While that little jar is super useful for dry goods I have wondered for a long time if there was a way to make one for my homemade vanilla coffee creamer. I keep it in a mason jar but the lid gets kind of drippy when you take it off, and since I'm not particularly coordinated first thing in the morning (or ever) I'm not always great at pouring from one either.
So here it is - the solution!! You need to make one I know, drink up your OJ, right out of the carton if you have to (I won't tell)!!
Here's what you'll need
Juice Carton- with a spout
Chalkboard Paint (Optional)
Start by opening your juice carton on both sides like a milk carton.
Pull it until it is completely open on the top.
Now using your scissors cut along the sides and across to cut out a rectangle. It's best to give yourself more than you think you'll need, you can cut it off but you can't put it back!
Now lay your lid ring over the spout. I lined it up as close to the edge as I could get it because I wanted my spout close to the edge. Line it up however you would prefer it and draw a circle around the edge.
After cutting out the circle, lay the inside of the mason jar lid against the back to trim up your circle if you need to.
At this point you can pop it in and be done. Or if you want to cover up whatever label your juice had, break out the chalkboard paint.
Mine took 2 coats and covered very nicely.
That was super easy right?? And now one more useful thing for your mason jars!!
